Design Award for New Contact Block

The Company GEORG SCHLEGEL received the renowned Focus Award in silver from the Design Center Baden-Württemberg for the new MK contact block.

"We are very happy about this award. The award further proves that we at SCHLEGEL always think about good design, even for product developments that are not so conspicuous," says Christoph Schlegel. The award is also valuable because the Design Center Baden-Württemberg is an independent institution and has no commercial intentions.

The design quality is an important characteristic for a design award – but it is certainly not the only one. The independent jurors also pay attention to the functionality, the level of innovation, ergonomics and utility.

The MK also convinces in these categories: lower, smaller, more modular – these are the characteristics of the MK. With the MK we succeeded in developing an extremely compact and powerful contact block, having a straight-lined aesthetics.

Thanks to the well thought-out structure, the MK has a mounting depth of only 17.6 mm. The distinct colourings of the NO, NC and LED module facilitate the handling. The contact blocks can be combined and mounted in the module holder as required.

In the SCHLEGEL world, the MK is versatile and fits all SCHLEGEL pushbuttons and switches of all the ranges with a 22 mm housing neck.
