SHORTRON connect: Product presentation via video

Georg Schlegel GmbH & Co. KG is going new paths in terms of product presentation. For the first time via video, Sales Manager Wolfgang Zoll and Product Manager Torsten Singer present the specialities and advantages of the SHORTRON connect range. "Small & robust" – that's how the SHORTRON connect range is described. But what does it exactly stand for? In short eight minutes Wolfgang Zoll and Torsten Singer introduce the pushbutton range and show its characteristic features. At SCHLEGEL TV they also shortly introduce the company as well as SCHLEGEL's whole product range. The product presentation video is available online and accessible at anytime.

SHORTRON connect is the consistent extension of the SHORTRON range, so far consisting of the SHORTRON standard, SHORTRON for base-plate mounting and the tethered SHORTRON M12 subranges. SHORTRON connect pushbuttons and switches are also equipped with a M12 connector on the rear side, but in this subrange the M12 connector is directly connected to the contact block (without cable).

Advantages:

Quick and simple
SHORTRON connect with direct M12 connection enables a simple, fast and, above all, safe installation of the pushbuttons and switches, because the M12 connection technology is designed in such a way that a reverse or incorrect polarity of the connections is not possible - based on the plug & work principle: plug in and start. In addition, no separate contact element is required as it already is integrated in the switch.

Completely protected
For the use of SHORTRON connect, an expensive and time-consuming installation of an enclosure is no longer necessary as the IP65 / IP67 protection degree provides a reliable protection against water and dust, in the front as well as on the rear side. This principle not only saves costs but also space, especially if the ergonomic SHORTRON connect mounting brackets are being used.

Small with design
With a mounting depth of only 33.7 mm (emergency stop 26.7 mm), SHORTRON connect also has the typical compact design of the product family and is therefore ideally suitable for the use in machines, panels and operating units that are increasingly becoming smaller. The familiar flat and attractive design of the range has also been kept, so in addition to the silver-coloured and black front rings also the exclusive version with stainless steel front ring is available.

Efficient and flexible
The range SHORTRON connect comprises a pilot light, pushbuttons, pushbuttons with ring illumination, selector and key switches and an emergency-stop. The emergency-stop is available with 2 NC (4-pole, 5-pole with AIDA pin assignment) or with 2 NC / 1 NO (5-pole). All M12 connectors are A-coded. The selector and key switches are available with 2 or 3 switching positions and with maintained or momentary function. The electrical characteristics range from an operating voltage of max. Ue 35 V and operating currents between Ie 2...4 A, depending on the version.
