Manfred Krügel (left) joins the company as first apprentice

Move to larger premises in Riedlingerstraße 22

First prototype of a terminal block

1951

Installation of an injection moulding workshop and galvanising station (self-made galvanising drum using the gear of a tobacco cutting machine)

Development of the first pushbuttons and switches

1953
  • First-time exhibitor at the Hanover Fair
  • Paul Ascherl becomes the first tool maker
  • Adrian Zwenk becomes the first overseas representative in the Netherlands
    (today, the company exports to more than 80 countries)

1955
  • 1st overseas approval: CSA
  • The premises in Riedlingerstraße 22 are extended

  • Introduction of outwork
  • Rolf Geisinger becomes the first commercial apprentice

1959

Irmgard Weber, daughter of Georg Schlegel, joins the company

1962

Eberhard Schlegel, eldest son of Georg Schlegel, joins the company
