2BSecure nominated for the Git Security Award

SCHLEGEL‘s protection system impresses in the field of machine safety

The innovative interface protection system 2BSecure from GEORG SCHLEGEL GmbH & Co. KG has been nominated for the prestigious GIT SECURITY AWARD 2026 in the category “Machine and Plant Protection.”

The expert jury – consisting of representatives from VDMA, ZVEI, system integrators, and users – selected a total of 60 products in six categories from a large number of submissions. 2BSecure was nominated in category A, “Machine and Plant Protection,” along with 10 other products.

What is 2BSecure?

Effective protection for open USB and Ethernet interfaces

The 2BSecure system protects open interfaces on machines and industrial systems. It prevents USB or Ethernet ports on machines from becoming a gateway for malware or data manipulation by disabling interfaces by default. Access is restricted to authorized persons who activate the interface using a key switch or RFID. Data transfer is only possible after successful authentication. In this way, 2BSecure contributes to cyber security in industrial production.

Easy integration – maximum security

2BSecure was developed as an easy-to-install black box solution that is installed between the interface and the end device. By controlling open interfaces, 2BSecure helps to meet the strict requirements of the new EU Machinery Regulation 2027 and the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA), while also increasing machine availability and data security.
