GEORG SCHLEGEL GmbH & Co. KG is a member of the Association of German Mechanical and Plant Engineering (VDMA) since 2021. The association represents the interests of approximately 3300 companies of this branch which makes it Europe´s biggest industrial association. SCHLEGEL as specialist for pushbuttons and switches is assigned to the VDMA professional association of "Electrical Automation" to which 243 companies belong to. Within the professional association we are active in the working group of economy and control technology.
ZVEI
In 2021 GEORG SCHLEGEL also joined the Central Association of the Electrical Engineering and Electronics Industry (ZVEI). The ZVEI represents the second largest branch of industry and one key industry in Germany. Within the association, future topics are discussed in working groups and specialist committees. SCHLEGEL is part of the field “Switching Devices, Switchgear and Industrial Controls” department, to which 160 companies belong to.
BVMW and Federal Economic Senate
SCHLEGEL is a member of the Federal Association of Medium-Sized Businesses (BVMW). The BVMW is a politically independent group for German medium-sized companies taking care of their interests across all industries. The BVMW represents more than 30 medium-sized associations with 900,000 members. Within the BVMW, SCHLEGEL is also a member of the Federal Economic Senate.
VDE
As a member of the Association of Electrical, Electronic & Information Technologies (VDE), SCHLEGEL supports one of the largest technical and scientific associations in Europe. It has 36,000 members (1,500 of which are companies).
School partnerships
As one of the larger employers in the region, SCHLEGEL maintains a close partnership with schools in its region and also opens up the company to students to give them concrete insights into the business world.
