Over 400 euros for a good cause!

Trainee baking campaign

Social commitment and teamwork are part of the training at SCHLEGEL. This is evident in the baking campaign for charity. At the end of March, the campaign once again raised over 400 euros. The proceeds went to the St Elisabeth Foundation and were donated to a cause chosen by the trainees.

This was the fourth time the campaign had taken place. Six trainees and one student baked 12 cakes for the campaign. Chocolate cake, apple and lemon cake, brownie cake and several other cakes were on offer.

All colleagues were spoilt for choice and able to pre-order their favourite cake in advance. On 24 of March, the "trainee express" delivered the pre-orders to the workplaces.

Thanks to generous rounding up and donations, a total of 422.50 Euros was raised, which will be donated to the St. Elisabeth Foundation. The foundation supports around 6,000 people in need in Baden-Württemberg.

The money will go towards maintaining the barrier-free swimming pool at St Franziskus School. The pool is equipped with various aids for people with a wide range of disabilities. There, children and young people with and without disabilities can swim, play and have fun together.

Through this initiative, the young SCHLEGEL employees demonstrate how social responsibility and community spirit are practised within the company. We would like to thank everyone involved for their commitment.
