SCHLEGEL is strengthening its global network

50 guest from 20 countries participated in the sales meeting in Heudorf

Dürmentingen – The village community centre in Heudorf was filled with an international atmosphere where around 50 sales representatives and distributors from 20 countries met for the GEORG SCHLEGEL sales conferene. On three days the guests received comprehensive information on new products and current developments and took the opportunity to exchange ideas across national borders.

Managing Director Christoph Schlegel could welcome guests from three continents, including participants from China, Japan, Singapore, the USA and Canada. Europe was also well represented, with participants coming from Scandinavia, the Baltic States, and Southern Europe. There were also numerous representatives and distributors from Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The sales representatives and distributors are the primary contacts for customers in their respective regions and countries. Thanks to their commitment, SCHLEGEL now has a presence in 80 countries and offers regional support around the globe.

The conference provided a forum not only for information on new products and strategic developments, but also for direct dialogue. Concrete product ideas were presented in workshops, with feedback gathered from the participants. Some of them presented successful projects from various industries, while market analyses and company news rounded off the programme.

In his speech, Christoph Schlegel reflected on the 80-year history of the family company which was founded on 1 April 1945. Today, SCHLEGEL is a global specialist in control devices. He also spoke about current challenges, such as economic uncertainties and high market dynamics. SCHLEGEL is responding to these trends with quality products, strong customer loyalty and innovation.

One of the highlights of the conference was the keynote speech of Professor Max Lude and Sandra Zellner of the Munich-based company Philoneos. They provided fascinating insights into the rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI). What was once considered impossible can now be achieved in seconds using tools such as ChatGPT or Copilot. The speakers emphasised the opportunities available to companies for the use of AI and how to prepare for the future and maintain their competitive edge.

However, alongside presentations and product demonstrations, the focus was on personal interaction. The conference became an international SCHLEGEL family reunion, providing new contacts, ideas and inspiration for the future.
