Armed with flour, sugar and plenty of enthusiasm, apprentices at the company Georg Schlegel raised money for a good cause. Their baking initiative generated more than €300, which the company then increased to a total of €400.
The apprentices selected the beneficiary themselves: Anderssein e.V., an association that supports people living with dementia and their families. The organisation aims to maintain the quality of life of those affected, help them maintain their independence and abilities and provide a space for meeting, support and exchange.
At the donation handover, the association’s chairman, Michael Wissusse, expressed his appreciation – not only for the donation itself, but especially for the young people’s commitment to the cause. “ Being normal is easy,” he said.
