simple, intuitive configuration

All types of Flexitast buttons can be configured via web browser. To do this, the individual button or the gateway of the Flexitast system is connected to a web-enabled device via USB cable and uploaded into the frontend. Once the connection to the Flexitast or gateway is established, the individual button or the system can be configured.

The following options are available:

Assigning a symbol for the state activated/deactivated

Assigning the background colour pressed/not pressed

Assigning blinking yes/no for pressed/not pressed

All Schlegel standard symbols are available

Flexitast as a single button

The Flexitast as single button is controlled by an external system, for example by PLC or IPC. The controller can also record events such as pressing the Flexitast button or exceeding a critical value of a level indicator and adjust the Flexitast button accordingly. The symbol on the button can, for example, be changed or a flashing red background can be displayed as a warning. The configuration is carried out conveniently via the browser on a PC, which is connected to the Flexitast button via USB cable.

Flexitast as a system

In a system, the control is done via a bus system in which up to 32 Flexitast buttons can be connected. The Flexitast gateway controls the communication and parameterisation of the individual Flexitast buttons and also acts as an interface to the external system. Events can be recorded via the external system and are transferred to the gateway, for example to change the symbol for a specific Flexitast button or to change the background colour of all connected buttons. The specific applications can be very diverse: be it changing the texts in different languages before delivery to the customer or an active warning in critical situations using red flashing warning symbols. Each Flexitast button is connected to the next via a cable, whereby the maximum distance between two buttons is 5 meters and the total length of the connection can be up to 30 meters.
The configuration is done via the browser on a PC that is connected to the gateway via USB cable.

The customised version of Flexitast offers maximum flexibility in adapting to individual requirement. The configuration and control of the buttons is carried out according to the customer's wishes, whereby additional functions and interfaces can be easily implemented. This allows to optimally integrate the Flexitast buttons into existing systems and processe to display both, texts and symbols. This tailor-made solution enables perfect adaptation to specific applications and requirements.
