Cycling, Hiking, Coming Together: SCHLEGEL on Tour

Under perfect summer skies, nearly 40 colleagues took to three different routes

First the kilometres, then the celebration: this year's SCHLEGEL cycling and hiking tour once again brought colleagues out onto varied routes around Dürmentingen. With summer temperatures in full swing, the day combined hiking, cycling, and a well-earned evening of good company.

Nearly 40 colleagues joined in this year: 15 set off on a 5.2-kilometre hike, nine took part in the 32-kilometre e-bike tour, and seven tackled the 36-kilometre cycling route the traditional way, without electric assistance. More colleagues joined later for the evening get-together.

Varied routes

The varied routes were led by tour guides Markus Brauch (hike), Jutta Eppensteiner (e-bike tour), and Meli Buck and Bruno Jungwirth (cycling tour). Despite the summer heat, everyone enjoyed the chance to be active outdoors — the hiking group felt the temperatures most, which made the relaxed evening together all the more welcome.

At the Musikverein Dürmentingen, good food and cold drinks were waiting, courtesy of the company. In a relaxed atmosphere, colleagues wound down the day together, swapping stories from the different routes.
